For the less physically able

For our older guests, or those with mobility problems, we have provided accommodation all on a single level and have a number of aids available for use, such as raised toilet seat, shower stool and grab handles.

 

We have designed and built the villa with ease of access in mind. This means that guests with mobility problems will not have to battle with flights of steps from the car park or with bedrooms on different floors as all the accommodation is on a single level with easy access from the car park and every room has wide doors or double doors for access.

 

Cars can be driven right up to the edge of the patio which surrounds the property, allowing for direct access without the need for ramps. Smooth stone flags, and tiled terraces, completely surround the villa, providing wheelchair access to all rooms and all around the property.

 

There is one very small step from car park to main patio area, and steps of course to the roof terrace. Other than this, all rooms can be reached via flat level access with only small wooden thresholds on some of the external doors.

 

The easy access shower in the ensuite bathroom, at a width of 1.5m, enables a less able person to be assisted to wash, and there is deliberately no glass side panel to this shower for this purpose, although there is a tiled lip separating the shower from the rest of the en-suite area.

The main shower room has a very large walk-in shower area with no step separating it from the rest of the wetroom, so ideal for those with limited mobility.
